Matba Rofex Group
The Matba Rofex Group was created in 2019 from the merger of two markets with a century-old tradition in futures and options trading in the region: Mercado a Término de Buenos Aires S.A. and ROFEX S.A.
We provide trading tools to satisfy the needs of the people who operate in the market in an environment of free concurrence of supply and demand, which ensures the formation of prices with absolute transparency. In addition, we develop technology for markets and their participants, with which we promote the complete cycle of interaction: access, negotiation, risk management, follow-up and closing of the operation.
We are convinced that markets and technology contribute to growth and development. That is why we work to ensure free price formation, protect transactions, and transform the capital markets, broadening their scope and simplifying access for more and more people.

Composition of the Matba Rofex Group
- Matba Rofex: market authorized by the National Securities Commission. It is a futures and options trading environment, which provides infrastructure and tools to ensure free concurrence of supply and demand, as well as price formation with absolute transparency. In addition, Matba Rofex calculates and publishes different financial and agricultural reference indexes.
- Argentina Clearing y Registro: a company regulated by the National Securities Commission, whose mission is to create value by offering registration, clearing, settlement, guarantee and custody services for negotiable securities and over the counter contracts, in an efficient and safe manner, in the markets and stock exchanges of Argentina and the region.
- Primary: a company that develops high performance technology for markets and their participants, resulting from the merger of Primary S.A. and Sistemas Esco S.A. Primary enables, enhances and supports the complete cycle of access, trading, risk management, back office processes and post trade management.
- Lumina Americas: Software company specialized in the design, development and implementation of solutions for the financial industry, with a focus on Latin America and a leading position in Mexico.
- Nexo ALyC: Comprehensive Settlement and Clearing Agent regulated by the National Securities Commission. It provides administration and settlement services to Trading Agents.
- Fundación Matba Rofex: foundation created to promote research, development and training in the derivatives market. Its mission is to contribute to the financial and economic education of more and more people through its school, MtR School.
- Primary Ventures: a company that invests early in technology-based ventures (Corporate Company Builder). It promotes the development of ventures aimed at strengthening the ecosystem of technological solutions linked to the world of markets and finance. It supports startups from Argentina and Latin America working in capital markets, cryptocurrencies and digital technology applied to agriculture and/or finance.
- UFEX: stock exchange authorized by the Central Bank of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, where securities and foreign exchange market instruments are traded.
